A lot of people i know thought Boris , would cancel HS2
thats why they voted for him
but now i am not sure
My own opinion , its a waste , start up north first
and move jobs nearer the workers , and stop commuting long distance
any thing more than an hours comute , door to door s a waste.and stupid
and i mean , door , to walk , to bus to train , then walk or bus , max one hour , and thats too long , should be half a hour , who on earth would want to travel more

The sanity of of this government is looking increasingly doubtful on several fronts.

For example:
Deadly irradiating and spying 5G (unwanted and unnecessary), deadly “Smart motorways, a dogged addiction to the deadly myth of man-made “climate change”, polluting electric cars, deadly driverless cars, and the ridiculous electricity powered HS2 money-wasting project for the rich elite.

The national 5G network operating 24/7 alone is going to require a significant increase in consumption of electrical energy to power it. Compulsory electric cars, electric trains, and HS2 will place an enormous stress on the existing electrical grid. The policy of compulsorily replacing gas-fired domestic central heating with electrically powered heat pumps will likely collapse the existing electricity supply on cold days and nights (cold homes kill).

At present there appears to be no attempt, or political interest in providing 24/7 cost effective electricity production for the whole nation. The political policy of adding vast increases to the demand for electricity, without planning for a rapid increase in a new generation of high-powered electricity generating stations, implies a hidden agenda to reduce the population to a level that is “sustainable” under a wind and solar only sourced electrical grid. Both solar and wind are incapable of being 100% 24/7 reliable at meeting the needs of the current population. Add in the vast increase in electrically powered systems demanded by current political dogma – and the future appears to be “unsustainable” for the majority of the non-elite.
