Eurofighters @ Northolt

So there going to be practising etc for the Olympics and based at RAF Northolt (2nd May - 10th May). Anyone know what time there arriving and practising etc?

Im personally looking quite forward to having them there and having them buzzing about. Anyone else?

I can imagine it could be quite an awesome sight if your held at the lights on West End Road and they zoom across.

I've seen the old Lightnings do their stuff and that is truly amazing, slow start, afterburners on, quick vertical flip, and gone through the clouds.

Yep. Im actually quite looking forward to it, an awesome sight indeed. Not so sure my elderly Mother will be so pleased though. Her house in Granville Road Hillingdon is directly under the flight path just a couple of hundred yards from the end of the runway. Luckily she is partially deaf !!

i heard them (or one of them) earlier. Meant to peak in flight on 5th and 6th May but not flying on Bank Holiday.

someone will complain about them
they even complain about the the very few flights already , Northolt is vastly under used
we would get more for out taxes , if more flights were allowed , just not big jets
the aircraft that use city airport , could use it

I just drove back from Greenford along the A40 and a chinook was flying really low over the road to land at Northolt Airport - fantastic!

We saw two of them early yesterday evening flying closely together - they must have been going over Uxbridge.
