Does anyone remember this quote from David Cameron just after he was elected ??

http://www.conservatives.com/News/Speec ... _debt.aspx

It seems the message was lost on Baroness Warsi if these reports are correct, and I have no reason to believe they are not. She has already admitted it was 'an oversight' on her part.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politic ... rules.html

That is some oversight by any standard, but she has now apologised so I guess that's alright then ? Well no actually its not alright at all in my book. If ever proof were needed that we are ' NOT all in this together' then surely this is it ? Take a look at this website as an example :

http://www.parliament.uk/lords-expenses

The sums involved are quite astonishing, all being paid out of OUR taxes. This at a time when the government are slashing the Disabilty Living Allowance by 20% and forcing people to work for no pay.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/ ... government

While I think its quite right that people who are perfectly fit and able to work should work ( if the jobs are available ), I have very real concerns about forcing those who are genuinely unable, to work for nothing.

Some figures here which may be of interest :

Job Seekers Allowance : £56.25 per week ( under 25 years of age )

Job Seekers Allowance : £ 71.00 per week ( over 25 years of age )

Employment Support Allowance ( formerly Incapacity Benefit ) £67.50 per week.

House of Lords Attendance Allowance : £300.00 PER DAY. That excludes all other expenses they are entitled ( ? ) to claim at OUR expense. MP's also have a seemingly bottomless pit of expense allowances.

All in this together ?? I don't think so.

It has always been like this, one set of rules for the takers, MPs, another set of rules for the givers that's tax payers, it would seem we do owe them a living, it equates to a few shillings from the mass results into a nice little earner for the select few, why it takes 600 plus to run UK & Co Ltd with such a large board of Directors, is a bad example of profitability, a Benign dictator would be more efficient, more accountable, and cheaper, Labours idea of state control from cradle to grave, just does not work, as it is always open to abuse, as I always say its not the biggest or the bestist, its them who make the least mistakes, and that is what we are all paying for now, and will be for a good many years to come, the system has failed us all, so why do we carry on ? simple realy cos we have always done it, and by our very nature resist change, better the devil you know syndrome, that's how effective the few have conditioned us, all in the misguided name of democracy. the big problem was Hitler had a bad press, Caesar was better at it, it works in China, so why we the brainwashed, carry on? Farage for leader, any more suggestions ???? ;) ;) ;)

These parasites have it so easy. Their 'oversights' seem to result in endless windfalls. My oversights tend to cause me expense. The fact that the taxpayer funds her fraudulent payments is salt in the wound.

Worse still, if any of us, the great unwashed, 'forget' to declare something, or 'forget' to pay some of their tax, we are at best fined, or jailed.

These crooks should be serving time, and their ill gotten gains confiscated.

Can't stand the woman, an utter simpleton promoted above her station only due to her ethnicity and gender.

Its a well known fact that more people in Jail should be free, while more people not in jail should be. my Dad always said our choice is vote for one set of crooks, or vote for another set of crooks, and they have the bloody cheek to refer to them as the right honourable lady, or right honourable Gentleman, Beggers borrowers, conartists, spivs more like it.
