What a great job. Stewarding at a Jubilee event. But would you do a 15 hour day for £2.80 an hour??? (£42 for the very long day)

Someone is raking it in, but not these poor buggers

Outstanding! British is Best. We can proudly show the world that we Lead the Way in Equal Opportunity Exploitation.

This is the Tory Government organising some free/cheap labour for some of their buddies in Industry..... Directorship or two down the road will be pending of course!!

Thankfully their arrogance will put paid to a second term when they will be replaced by another shower of cowardly, self-serving lying bastards!

well I do hope so, as long as its not the other shower of cowardly, self-serving lying bastards! honest Goverment would be a novelty at least, time for something new, an untried party, or a new system cos as sure as eggs are eggs the choices that have been tried over the past hundred years dont work, a new party, or a new system, why do we always invest in failure. ;) ;)

The government control the legal framework within which people can be induced to perform labour. They have purposefully amended this to allow for unremunerated exertion, under the guise of "welfare-to-work" but in reality in an attempt to coerce productivity from below-subsistence levels of outlay.

On the other hand anyone who seeks to stop this crazy sense of self-entitlement and benefits as a birthright that Labour encouraged has got to have the long term welfare of the country far more in mind than those who will spend everything and then leave a vacuum behind. If Labour really cared about the people then they would have created sustainable jobs in a working economy instead of creating dependency and the illusion of stability. If Labour had worked just a little bit harder to sell the dignity of honest labour then we wouldn't be so far up shit creek as we are.

The notion of providing people with work experience perhaps sometimes with a stick to get them to do it (withholding benefits) is probably sometimes necessary. What must be avoided though is allowing private firms such as this one taking advantage of the policy to advance profits without genuine payback and experience for those taking part.

Tesco were amongst the first to ditch the scheme, clearly they could see how this was going to pan out and what the adverse public reaction was going to be and how that could have back fired on them. This security company does not need to concern itself too much with what the public thinks.

It is also apparent this particular firm has security contracts for the Olympics so expect to see much more of this over the next 10 weeks or so.

first you create the solution, then create a problem that fits, jobless juggling, immigration, homeless, benefits, terrorist threats, just a few of the tools used to keep us in line, the strategy gets more desperate by the day, taxes are but one means of doing it, failure to create new jobs is another, short of bringing the savings of folk back into the system, it is set to continue, with the only other, low interest rates on savings too try getting money back into the economy, high taxation that means you get less for your buck, just enforces the rainy day syndrome, that does not encourage spending, VAT is a deterrent not a solution, 20% of nothing, is less productive than 5% on everything, income tax does nothing to encourage production, the proven failure of the Euro-zone, a further drain, along with uncontrolled immigration, all self inflicted by various governments of the past, chasing a none existent utopia. :o ;) ;)
