A Spurious case which will no doubt be rightly thrown out by the High Court....

The article does not mention who is backing this case from a legal standpoint and whether legal aid has been granted although I would doubt so if the circumstances are as the article suggests.

The High Court gets any number of ridiculous cases in application every day from the scale of laughable (which this is) to downright vexatious. This one has only made the DM as it fits the 'news profile' of that paper.

If I recall correctly if you are prepared to represent yourself (and prepare the case files) you can apply to bring a case to the High Court for as little as £200.00. This gets you into the process and the headlines and allows a judge to give the application a quick once over, it is then progressed or not to the next stage.

I think this case says more about the state of mental health in Tanzania rather than how mistreated he was here. £11m?? Hilarious - what a pillock :D
