Post subject:  What a waste of money
Sometime last week an Olympic Lane was put into the A30 from Hatton Cross going towards Hounslow. The boards were put up saying they would be operation from 6 am tomorrow (wednesday) morning. Coming home from work tonight along the A30, and the Olympic Lanes are gone and the roads have been repainted back to the way they were!!!

I wonder how much it cost to put in and take out this lane!!

Not a drop in the ocean compared to the amount of tax the Olympics are swindling out of the UK....

I noticed that too Lindsay on my way home from work this morning. Very odd. To add to the confusion the illuminated signs along that stretch of road are still in place and operating ??

There comes a point in each operation they have to sort out the overkill, but the nature of the beast is its only the local who pay, that is the level of caring we get, the elderly pensioners of London don't get any extra like London weighting that working folk get, because of the extra costs living within the M25. in fact they are crucified by Goverment and Councils, as if they were in full time employment, and second class to all the other pensioners living in the rest of the Country, Bois dont do it for me. ;) :o

Yesterday the boards were saying to check the website for olympic lane information. Tonight they said all traffic can use the olympic lane. Very strange as there is no olympic lane any more.

I noticed signs directing olympic traffic onto the A312 heading to the M4, which is where I thought they would be going as there is an olympic lane there. I wonder which idiot thought putting a lane on the outside lane going all the way up to the roundabout, and maybe further, was a good idea.
