Wonderful, loved the drive from the Savoy thru Hayes town, the crossing gates were up and down Brian, can you see your house looking over the canal, up and over the railway bridge down Station road past Carlton ave and down Harlington high street, my paper route 1948/52 on the way to New road school. |

The thing is we select new friends, not have them thrust upon us, with being told you cant do this, and you must do that, between cultures that have nothing in common, and backed up by law, where is the free. in its a free country, where more and more, the natives are suppressed, to accommodate the surge of immigration, that is out of control, and has been deliberately engineered, by new Labour to dilute the right wing vote by diluting it, with forever grateful blackleg labour and anti socialist policy of working for less, and do the jobs, that formed the modern labour party, it is nearing full circle, with the old left, becoming the new right, while the illegals, and illiterate forming the opposition, and gaining strength through numbers, I guess that's life, and just wonder where it will all end.   would be interesting to see life in Hayes 2012, in 2062 that would open a few eyes.

Yes, there were 18 houses in Western View with an alley between 9 and 10, counting the upstairs windows back from the end, my house No. 11 was the second from the left. Also see the bunch of reeds that I used to sit on while fishing.

Years before my birth but most of the buildings are still there today - surprised at he buildings on the Barnhill Estate just finished - There is a sister video to this one on the YouTube page showing more of the Barnhill Estate. Hayes Town has changed so so much and if you brought a stranger to the place after watching the video, they would think they were in another country all together - and on that note, changed so much and definitely not for the better. If I could turn back the clock..... |
