So they got relegated last weekend. not surprised they have looked bad this season. Still they said they are keeping the Manager..... i dont know why lol. but then again rumour that Hayes & Yeading is going to fold in the summer could be a reason. anyone heard that one? |

They cashed in with the Church road site, that was supposed to have had a deed of covenent on it as the ground was left on condition it would be used for the playing of football fo all time, I heard, but alas where money rules, things get a bit mixed up, or lost, also there was the ashes of well known supporters scattered, and/or burried on the pitch, nothing is sacred anymore. time marches on. |

Applied for a grant? With all the money they got from the Church Road site you would think they could afford to pay for it themselves! |

We used to have a sports stadium also, once again its money, two greens at the end of Central ave, one was taken to build a swimming pool, the other side of the road another green also used to build a swimming pool, so as we dont need two swimming pools, the first one is obsolete, but hey it is now a brownfield site, that can be built on, and the green belt bit of land also lost forever, strange how we did not need two pools, or two open spaces. |

I remember this when it was a landfill with most of it being ruble from bombed buildings and houses from WW2 almost (about 15ft) from the waters edge, two railway sleepers spanning the brook that lorries taking in the rubble had to drive over the ditch on, also the other site at the Hanwell viaduct, filled and grassed over, once again to about 15ft from the waters edge still as we left it in 1947/8. |

I cannot believe that H&YFC are still using Woking's ground. No wonder they have been relegated as their fan league table must look like this Fans (when 'home' is Woking: Win: 0 Lose: Most Draw: 0 |
