whats a million years or so? a mere millisecond of the billions of years the planet has been evolving, so now I expect to hear it has not evolved it is exactly as it was created when humans complete with all the various other lifeforms, appeared from nowhere over the coarse of a week, along with the millions of other heavenly bodies, and galaxies, that were created, inhabited, destroyed, that we did not even know of their existence, or is this also a myth ? sorry as of average, or maybe lower than average intelligence, can not comprehend the myth of creation on a timescale of billions of years of absolute nothingness, :( :(

So, a living thing has to be able to foresee the changes necessary to meet the environmental circumstances that MAY prevail millions/billions of years down the road, AND partly redesign itself to meet those unknown environmental conditions, AND within the short procreating part of its life-cycle, AND pass the incomplete design on to subsequent generations in the blind hope that the new design, when it is finally completed in millions/billions of years, will meet those unknown conditions millions/billions of years in the future?

And I'm considered crazy for believing the Bible's version of events?

Nobody suggested you are crazy, we all have our own opinions, just I consider mine more logical than it must have been, just because we don't fully understand, every day new things come to light as we start to understand the complexity of extended evolution, while the bible version has remained static for at least 2112 years so far, not withstanding the old testament, that having parents who were Baptists taught me what little on religion I was taught, but never fully understood as too many holes in it, evolution amongst humans is happening as we consider the alternatives, folk are getting taller than just a hundred or so years ago, we are getting more clever as our children start from a higher platform than we did 40,50.60, years ago, that's evolution each generation advanced on the previous generation. ;) ;)

I don't want to lose the point here that Darwin was totally wrong about the finches just as he was wrong about everything else.

In your opinion? has it ever occurred that maybe just maybe, there is alternative points of view? and not everybody goes with the handed down state of events handed down for a mere few thousand years. or are Dinosaurs. the Ice age, all a myth, time to get real methinks, or is sigle cell lifeform in the begining to difficult to understand ? cos as sure as eggs are eggs, I cant grasp the idea that a God created man in his own image, if it was that easy why did he bother creating woman.? :o :o

Sorry Jim. I was not intending to imply that anybody on here had suggested I was crazy. But I have been told to my face that I am crazy. To be honest, I do find it very difficult to understand how anybody can seriously believe that complex life systems, and all the necessary environmental life-support systems, are the result of some gigsantic unplanned accident. Neither is there any evidence to suggest that order can develop out of chaos without some rational organisational intervention.

As I previously tried to point out; fulfilled Bible prophecy is a fascinating subject that proves the accuracy of the Bible - if the trouble is taken to check it out against verifiable historical facts. But I shall leave there for now.

Fair enough we all have worked it out for ourselves, the fact we have come too different conclusions, don't make one side correct the other wrong, I guess that we will never ever prove one way or the other, if you are right then your reward awaits in heaven, and mine in purgatory, on the other hand if I am right then none of us will ever be any the wiser, as an afterthought I wonder if apes have a problem comming to terms with what is in store for them. :?
