Just a quick post from me for now, but after the last couple of weeks of pleasant Spring warmth this weekend and beyond may come as a shock to the system. I will try and keep on top of it.......

In the meantime thanks as always for reading and posting.

Yes it does look a bit of a downturn but we are getting closer to Summer day by day

6am start on Sunday morning saw frost on the car, then we drove east to the Olympic Park for the bike ride, during the ride I really did have all weather in one day, rain, hail like golf balls, lovely sunshine and gusting winds.

Still managed to complete 50 miles still no idea how the route was soooo hilly

'Noon all. Week off for me in the sunshine of Eastbourne last week (well some days!) but back at the coalface this morning and a frosty start scraping the car windows. It actually didn't drop below 1.5°C overnight but it was lovely and white on many surfaces.

Cooler this week than of late, Thursday night looking to be another chilly one:

Some rain in the region at the end of the week and maybe a rumble or two of thunder:

Warming up a bit Saturday:

Kudos for doing the ride BG, especially when conditions were not ideal.

In the meantime many thanks to everyone who continues to read and post. I hope to get back up to speed later this week.

Almost the weekend and it's looking like a dry one with some sunny spells amongst the cloud. Not quite BBQ weather (unless your hardy or hungry!) but we might see temperatures in the upper teens, maybe even 17 or 18 on Sunday.

Have a good one everyone.

Thanks for keeping the topic alive Coast, I'm really struggling at the moment so all and any input is more than welcome. The weather does indeed seem set to take a turn for the better over the next few days, with a more southerly continental influence here in London and The South East. Temperatures, as you say look likely to rise to decent levels for this time of year.

The last few days have provided some very interesting weather conditions in our region, with a pool of very cold air aloft sparking off some heavy, and often thundery showers. Hail, sleet and wet snow showers have been quite widespread and we are not quite out of the woods yet.

Whilst thunderstorms are not entirely unexpected or unusual during the winter and early spring, I am pleasantly suprised to have witnessed more thunder and lightning in the first 3 months of this year than I did throughout the whole of 2013. A few Spanish Plumes in the summer would be a nice bonus !!

Thanks for reading and posting as always. Moley 8-)
