Bank Holiday Monday is looking potentially miserable for London and The South East and the Met Office have issued a Weather Warning :

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weat ... 1408921200

That warning mentions rainfall totals of 15-30mm's ( very roughly 1/2 - 1 inch ), but I have seen a number of sources suggesting figures considerably higher in some parts of our region, particularly over higher ground. I hope they are wrong.

Well whatever the weather, I hope you can all make the most of the long weekend.

Moley 8-)

Looking at the radar it certainly doesn't look too good for the next few hours.

Why are your forecasts so accurate? I rather wished you might have got this one wrong :)

I'll take that as a back handed compliment SOT ;). Looking back over recent posts I can see that 6 days ago I suggested that today ( Bank Holiday Monday ) would take a turn for the worse, and so it's proved to be unfortunately. It's days like this where I wish I had been proved wrong.

There are probably worse things in life than an August Bank Holiday soaking, but sitting here now watching the rain pouring down and wrecking folks day out is quite depressing.

Currently looking at the Met Office forecast via the desktop app and this afternoon looks interesting as a swathe of deep yellow travels our way :(

Certainly more rain on the way Kremmen. I track the rainfall on this free radar app

http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

Just checking the latest updates and there is a possibility of further heavy rain overnight along the South Coast.

:)

So far nothing torrential, the yellow bits 'seem' to be tracking the coast

We just seem to have skipped August and gone straight to late September.

It was just a continual light/medium rain yesterday once it started.

OK this morning at the moment but a bit more forecast later.
