Personally I think it'll just be windy with a spot of rain :)

Don't dispense with the Bbq's, deckchairs and sun hats just yet.

For those of us who like sunshine and warm weather our old friend 'High Pressure' wants to give us what is probably going to be one last treat this year. If it all goes to plan the muck and rain of the last few days should be kicked into touch by the weekend, and we may be in for a pleasant few days from then.

Temperatures in favoured spots should reach the mid 20's C ( mid 70's F ) which is a lot better than todays wet and miserable 12c (54f ). If it does come off, clear skies could lead to some some troublesome overnight fog, so please be aware of that on early morning commutes.

Last Friday ( September 13th ) a very reliable weather station just up the road from me recorded it's highest 24 hour rainfall total since June 2012, 24.8mms ( 2 inches ). Just thought I would mention it.

Thanks Moley .... I knew you'd get us some good weather :) I'm pleased about the weekend - we have a bouncy castle arriving at my daughters so fingers crossed. I can well believe that about the rainfall on Friday - my friends hanging baskets got so much rain, they got too heavy and fell down - smashing the lot :(

Whoooa, don't hold me to that please Jane, it's just what the models are showing for now but there is widespread agreement between them so that's a positive sign. I'm not promising good weather, but the odds are stacked in favour.

Your bouncy castle should be safe as winds decrease during the week but the later you can delay it the better. Saturday should be ok, but Sunday looks better. Hope it all goes well.

Moley

Yesterday afternoon was a 'tad damp' as I drove through the river that was the M25 western section about 13:00 :)

Thanks for the report Kremm. The M25 is a pleasant drive when traffic is flowing smoothly, but an absolute nightmare at times, especially in bad weather.
