I hope the police properly and fully investigate this story and follow the evidence to where-ever and to whom-ever it leads. If this story is correct, and on the face of it the video does appear to provide some strong evidence, then Fellows could be into drugs in a big way – possibly both possession and supply.

If Fellows is into drugs to the degree the Daily Mail article suggests, then I would expect his use of drugs could have raised serious suspicions amongst some of the people he came into contact with, such as close business and political contacts. The Daily Mail article suggests Fellows has had access to highly placed political contacts; in which case any political contacts may also be able to provide the police with some interesting information.

How did he get way with it for so long? Who was protecting this man?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... s-ago.html

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... laims.html

Flowers was convicted for gross indecency in 1981, and continued to hold a Methodist Church ministry. He made fraudulent expenses claims of more than £150,000 from a charity between 1992 and 2004. He resigned from Bradford City Council because “X-rated adult images” were found on his council laptop computer. He LATER became chairman of governors for Lidget Green Primary School in Bradford.

Flowers went on to become boss of the Co-op Bank. Where it is now reported he used Co-op Bank money to fund his drug use and pay for the services of rent boys; where it is also reported he passed cheap money to the Labour Party. Plus, there are published photographs of Flowers unashamedly socialising, and enjoying the confidence of Labour Party high rankers.

Why didn't the Criminal Record Bureau checks, that everybody who has anything to do with children has to pass, disqualify Flowers from becoming a chairman of a school governors? Why haven't the police been crawling all over this man for decades. Who has been protecting this man? And Why? Who is afraid that this man knows more than is good for some political careers?

We live in a society where we are spied upon by Government, local authorities, every public agency. Even private car parking firms, banks, petrol filling stations, and supermarkets record our every move and financial transactions. And yet Flowers appears to have a history of deviance that goes completely unchallenged for decades by all in authority - until a drug-taking rent boy develops a stronger conscience than any of the powers of authority, or that of the forces of law and order.

How come we ordinary people even can't get away with over-filling a wheelie bin, or failing to purchase a TV Licence without gaining a criminal record, yet others can get away for decades with the most obscene criminality?

AND. Is this the type of newspaper criminal revelation that Levenson is supposed to prevent from being published?

There is something fundamentally rotten in the high places of this country.

It seems quite clear to me that bog standard apologies are only acceptable if they are issued by, or on behalf of someone in a position of power and/or authority. Even then it seems they are only forthcoming once said miscreants have been caught red-handed, have run out of mates in high places, and have used up all their ' Get out of Jail Free ' cards.

The Mail says it's going to publish the most sensational revelations yet tomorrow. I can't imagine what could be more sensational than what we've already heard.

This Flowers guy seems to be one big rotten apple that has got away with it for years.
