Hope you start feeling better soon :(

Thanks Kremmen but it ain't going to happen. Degenerative spinal condition so it's just a case of managing it.

I sort of know how you feel because that's one of the conditions the wife had :(

Sorry to hear that Kremmen.

A quick look at the radar this evening shows a belt of heavy rain heading our way in the next few hours, and I wouldn't rule out the odd rumble of thunder.

We just missed the rain on our 3hr walk along the Crane River to Twickenham, started with a climb to the top of the shot tower.

Morning all! :D

It's a bright but chilly start in Sussex and it looks like that extends over West London too at the moment:

So what has the rest of the week got in store? According to at least two of the weather models we have a dry week with some sunshine but colder nights. There might be the chance of a small shower on Friday afternoon:

Otherwise it's quite pleasant with even a few hours of sunshine through to the weekend, with Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning currently looking to be the best of the two days

The jet steam that we have all been hearing about over the wet and windy Winter, looks to be heading North into next week:

Maybe an indication of something a little better from the weather?

Would be nice, haven't washed the car since about November as I'm a wimp to cold weather.

Good grief Kremmen, I thought the car washing was a weekly ritual !! Overall I would say this winter was very mild for much of the country and I'm pleased about that as far as heating bills are concerned.

Thanks for the updates Coast and it's good news about the Jet Stream. That should allow an opportunity for high pressure to build from our south bringing more settled ( and drier ) conditions to our region ?

I have seen suggestions that we may see temperatures reaching the dizzy heights of 17-18c early next week. I for one would welcome that.

Thanks as always to all who read and post on this topic.

The BBC Breakfast forecast this morning was mentioning highs of 14°C as soon as tomorrow and Friday.

The forecast is certainly looking favourable BG.

West London was the hotspot today with temperatures breaking through the 60f barrier for the first time this year. 16.4c at Heathrow and 16.1c at Northolt. Spring has sprung. Have a good weekend wherever you are and whatever the weather.

It certainly was lovely today as we set off to Swakelys Park at about 4:30 ish or 5ish if my boss is reading.

The evening was so lovely we stopped for one at the Wetherspoons in Ickenham, due to not having our bike locks we had to sit outside which was still surprisingly mild at 6ish. Shame about the smokers and the sirens racing up and down the road.

We made our way back feeling a little chillier but soon warmed up with the help of a hot chocolate at our 2nd stop my favourite the Malt shovel. Only problem there was a group of teachers with loud teacher like voices all competing with each other with stories about their kids from class.

Anyway whinge over, down the canal admiring the clear skies and the brightness of stars.
