Anyone watch the "debate"? I thought Nige was the winner, Clegg just trotted out the usual pro-EU propaganda & lies.

I missed it but Farage won as far as I'm concerned.

Strange fact: My best friend once went out with the Dutch au pair girl who worked for Mr & Mrs Clegg in looking after Nick - if only we had known then what we know now!! They lived in Orchehill Avenue, Gerrards Cross. I went out with her best friend, a French girl who also worked in Gerrards Cross as an au pair.

I seen a few of these across various forums and everyone agrees that Nigel won

He talks a lot of sense and I just hope he causes enough of a stir next year.

Being an unlicensed objector to the BBC I did not watch the debate, I listened to it on LBC. I can only comment on what I heard, and not what I saw.

Providing Nigel Farrage tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth , he will win every debate over the UK's membership of the EU, but he will not necessarily win the majority vote of the electorate. Unfortunately, the LibLabCon are never going to engage in a full, open, and honest debate. The LibLabCon, over decades, have successfully dumbed down a very large section of the electorate's understanding of politics – all three parties have actively engaged in creating a tribal class of ill-informed voting dependant automatons. It is for this same reason that Cameron keeps postponing any referendum – he is waiting for the time that the dependant automatons out-number the rest by at least 4:1. The referendum when it comes must not be in doubt of staying in the EU.

It seemed to me that from the start of the session Clegg made it clear that honesty and openness were not going to form any part of his input into the 'debate'. He was patronising, arrogant, and above all thoroughly dishonest. He constantly over-ran his allotted time-slots, and interrupted Farrage whenever Farrage scored a direct hit. Clegg relied upon lies, pre-programmed deceitful sound-bites, and his patronising upper-class polish. Scratch the polish and something very dark and foreboding can be revealed – the same can be said of Cameron and Miliband.

Clegg demonstrated all the classic characteristics of the Left by his over-talking of the opposition. Regarding his dishonesty, Clegg claimed that The UK does have the right to control EU immigration into the UK: that was a blatant lie, and he knows it. The following day on LBC Clegg admitted that the UK is NOT able to control EU immigrants into the UK. But by then the wideer TV/Radio audience to the debate had been lied to.

I think Nigel Farrage should concentrate on explaining to the UK electorate that the EU is totally undemocratic and illegal. Whether a majority of electorate is able to comprehend what Nigel Farrage is saying though, is another issue.

Regarding democracy: The EU commissioners have all the power; they are appointed – not elected – therefore are not democratic.

Regarding legality: The EU is illegal because it does not have the democratic approval of any of the electorates it purports to represent. It is also illegal because it is based upon fraudulent accounting – its accounts have not been audited and signed off for over 18 years.

It is against the law to knowingly fund illegality. The UK Government knowingly hands over vast sums of UK taxpayers' money to an illegal EU. Which in turn makes every taxpayer compulsorily complicit in the UK Government's illegality, and the illegality of the EU.

Totally agree Westonman, we've been conned all the way through the process of getting us in and keeping us in the EU (the Greater German Empire). Was this what our fathers/grandfathers fought and died for?

Talk of renationalising the utilities, such as electricity, gas, water is a forlorn hope. Privatisation is, and always was, a major part of the globalist elitist’s plan to eventually destroy the concept of the nation state.

The process of globalisation is continuing with the handing over of government responsibilities to 'private' global organisations such as G4S, Capita, A4e, Serco, etc. The privatisation process is also a convenient way of removing out-sourced government responsibilities from the risk associated with Freedom of Information requests; it also removes the problem of democratic accountability.

It's a waste of time complaining to the energy companies for ripping us off. The problem is a political one with political roots. By all means get annoyed at being ripped off, but the anger should be directed at the political class for doing this to us. We could list all the historic figures who have all played a part in bringing about the current situation; but it is more appropriate to direct the criticisms towards the current political elite, and personalise the problem by naming them. Their names are Cameron, Clegg, Miliband, all their supporting MPs, their party activists, and the behind-the-scenes Civil Servant Establishment who like to remain our of sight. Take your anger to every ballot box and punish the truly guilty by refusing to vote for the above named and their partners in crime, both nationally and locally.
