OK, so I guess many of us are looking at the forthcoming BH weekend with fingers crossed for a spell of nice weather. Current information coming through from computer models is indicating a quite sunny and warm Friday and Saturday, with a bit of rain expected in the London area through Sunday and early Monday before it turns drier, with some sunny spells. Next week is looking a bit unsettled and slightly cooler. More details to follow through the next couple of days as things firm up a bit.

It was really lovely in East Essex yesterday (visit to a customer) and I got a nice red forehead on the way home with the top down

Regarding the BH weekend, it's still looking good for Friday and Saturday, but rain and showers look set for Sunday for the larger part of the day. Interesting thoughts about a thunderstorm or two on Sunday afternoon (I like thunderstorms!) in the local area and across the SE. Monday potentially some scattered showers dying out later on. Watch out for fog if you are returning to work on Tuesday morning and signs are currently that the temperatures may actually continue like they are through next week!

It bit too early to say with any certainty, but the Easter weekend is looking reasonable on the current computer models with a potential 18, maybe even 20°C for parts of London and the SE. I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days and hopefully update early next week.

I'm back, well sort of. Many thanks to Coast for keeping the topic going and thanks as always to anyone who keeps reading and posting.

After the recent good weather that Low Pressure system moving up from the south on Easter Sunday certainly made a mess of things here in London and The South East.

Thunderstorms were quite widespread and there is a slight risk of more thunderstorms on Monday. The week ahead doesn't look too bad to be honest, temperatures near or above average, with occasional showers.

Nice to see you're return Moley! This week continues with the sunshine and showers theme so typical of April, but next week is starting to emerge as being a little cooler than of late and quite unsettled. I'll have a look further on Friday when things start firming up more.

Greetings one and all and hopefully I can deliver some good news about the forthcoming Bank Holiday Weekend.

After what has been a mixed week for parts of London and The South East with a good few thunderstorms and torrential downpours, the weather is showing signs of settling down over the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to be slightly lower than of late, but close to the average for this time of year. Daytime maximums of 12-15c ( 54-59f ) but the plus side is that it should be mostly dry with a fair amount of sunshine throughout the Holiday weekend. Keen gardeners should be aware that there is a risk of frost in rural areas.

All in all though the weekend looks set fair for our region.

My friends on the South Coast invited me down to partake in the Jack in The Green festivities in Hastings but unfortunately health issues prevent me from making the journey. It's worth a look though for anyone heading down that way this weekend, not too from you Coast !!

Thanks as always for reading and posting. Have a great weekend whatever the weather.
