The Met office forecast as far back as Friday that snow fall on Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00.

It actually started at 08:45 and just trickled down all day, quite an impressive advance forecast. Moley been moonlighting ? :)

I wish Kremmen !

My predictions were slightly out though. In one of my posts last Tuesday ( January 15th ) I suggested that Friday and Saturday would be the days to watch. Well Friday proved to be correct for much of The South East, but I was a day out regarding Sundays snowfall. The Met Office understandably hedged their bets until the last minute, but as you say, got Sundays weather spot on.

Down here on the South Coast a thaw has set in, and Im expecting this to continue throughout the week ahead with temperatures above freezing during daylight hours. 3-4c ( 36-39f ) but overnight frosts will occur, especially in rural areas.
The rest of the week looks like remaining mainly dry and rain/snow free for most of us.

Any significant return of milder weather is still too far away to reliably predict, but my current thoughts are that temperatures should rise noticeably by next weekend, and our weather will then be influenced by The Atlantic. Wet and windy in other words.

Thanks again for reading and posting. Moley 8-)
