Any right thinking persons sympathies lie with the residents in this piece, however they're missing the point somewhat, don't they realise that this sort of thing is what 'ayes is for?

If you've got a load of juvenile delinquents fresh out of care homes, where do they think the authorities are going to put them? Chiswick? Twickenham? Pinner?

Just to avoid being completely negative what are the good points of Hayes? I think the fact you can get regular trains to London and get there relatively quickly is a plus as well as proximity to Heathrow for getting out of the UK. Places worse than Hayes in my book would be Luton, the southern half of Essex, the Medway Towns, Swindon, the Lancashire Mill towns like Burnley, Bradford, or Teeside.

It does make me laugh the way people who cause trouble are called "vulnerable". What a twisting of the language.

Isn't there supposed to be planning permission associated with this sort of thing?

Well, there are several good points about Hayes, the transport links being the main one, which I think should help it in the future to be a more attractive place to live. However, I also get the feeling that it's being used as a bit of a dumping ground... for example, who actually lives in the YMCA building and where do they come from?

Ayes is da frontier to protect Uxbridge, Harrow, Ruislip, from Saff-all and Anslow the Front Line

I'd rate Hayes as worse than both those places, with Southall it is the South Asian sub continent and that's it, you know the deal with the place and it's been that way for some time, pretty much one culture prevails and it hasn't gone down the pan in the same way as this s**thole has in the last 20 years, Hounslow although a duff place has better shops, tube links and better suburbs on the doorstep like Chiswick, Brentford and Richmond.

You mentioned Harrow but that's really gone downhill imho in the last 20 odd years, it used to have a bit of Middle Class kudos but it's a toilet now judging from the last couple of times I've passed through it.

Lets welcome them all in. We need more shanty towns, accordion players, rose sellers, Big Issue sellers, pimps, and girls trafficked to work as hookers in rooms above shops with bars across the windows. Roma do a good line in rubbish disposal and cheap too.....

Anybody who disagrees is nothing but a racist bigot!!!

I'm brushing up on Romanian for Beginners as we speak now, Geezer, rumour has it the Eurostar website crashed because of an avalanche of one way fares purchased for 01/01/14 !
