Sorry to hear about your bad news Captain. The weather gods are still on your side for the time being in as much there is no particularly cold or severe weather expected in the next 7-10 days at least.

As per my earlier post last Thursday, some locations may experience a slight overnight frost if the cloud lifts, but that's about the worst of it. All in all it's a settled outlook, with a chance of low cloud and drizzle towards the middle of the week.

If anyone is planning to visit Sicily in the near future you might want to take a brolly as Mount Etna appears to be having a sleepless spell.

After all my concerns about icy roads Wednesday looks like it's going to be a good day for a trip to Malvern and back.

Yes indeed Kremmen. It depends on what time of the day you are planning your journey though because there is a slight risk of frost early and late in the day. Low cloud and drizzle are probably the worst conditions you will encounter on that drive.

Leaving around 06:00 and we'll be back by 16:00.

The early start shouldn't be too bad as it's the A40/M40 for the first bit whilst it warms up.

I very much doubt you will even have to scrape your windscreen Kremmen. Midweek is looking fairly mild, but becoming a bit colder by the weekend in our region. Beyond that there are mixed signs. Some models are showing a colder spell as we head into December, other models are showing the opposite.

For that reason alone I'm hedging my bets for now !

Scraping a windscreen !!!

Not done that in over 30 years, car gets tucked away in the garage, and that's slightly heated. I've never understood people who pay circa £20k on a car, have a garage, and then leave it out to the elements and vandals.
