Why would any ordinary member of the public with innocent intentions be in posession of a firearm ? The obvious answer is they wouldn't, not in this country thank god. If wannabe gangsters want to arm themselves then they should be prepared to face the consequences when met by our mostly unarmed police force.

In my opinion the police service is far from perfect and they have a lot to answer for, but not in this case.
