On another point I think the British umbrella identity has played a large part in England, particularly it's major population centres, becoming a Trojan horse for all manor of B.S and the Clapham Junction of the human race, as regards citizenship most other countries Germany, Belgium or Ireland to name some I can think of place a big emphasis on being actually ethnically from and indigenous to those places and don't dole out passports like confetti. Factor in as well that English is a 'kiddies' language that's globally ubiquitous and easy to learn and that's another major magnet for immigration, it's not like these herberts have to get to grips with a Danish language and culture and put up with living somewhere where the tail doesn't wag the dog.
