I don't care what you say, a passenger plane simply cannot disappear without a trace, without the authorities knowing where it went. These videos make for interesting viewing:

It hasn't dissapeared, its at the bottom of the Indian Ocean.

The likes of China, Russia and the US have always known where it was but wouldn't let on for fear of compromising their sat detections networks, and how sophisticated they are.

These are probably the most guarded military secrets you can get so it would have been easy for them to make that decision.

The clue is in how fast everything moved once China broke cover and their ship detected the black box beacon. Within 24 hours they pretty much confirmed it was there.

Of course how it got there is still a huge mystery and will keep theorists going for years.

I don't reckon it's there. It's all a big charade.

I'm still puzzled how the crew can turn off vital detection stuff like the transponder. Surely some things should be out of their control !

I'm personally leaning on the side of "Diego Garcia". But, other than being shot down from a possible "911" type attack, why would they hide the plane and keep the passengers captive? As suggested by the gent in the video.

Because there were certain passengers they were intested in.

Very interesting video's Jon, and I agree they are very convincing. It's possible that the US military have the means to electronically take over a plane and fly it to whatever destination they chose. Perhaps this is the case here. As President Eisenhower once said "beware of the military/industrial complex" - wise words from an ex-US General and President from the 1950's. Let's face it, it was a long time before we learnt of the existence of drones, controlled from the US, killing people thousands of miles away!

One of the video's made reference to the disgraceful behaviour of the British Government in its "ethnic cleansing" of Diego Garcia so that it could lease it to the US military as a secret base - we treated them appallingly - it makes me wonder what our government won't do to please the Americans!

But, surely it would have been far easier to just kidnap them before or after the flight.
