I get sick of people - including many of you lot - complaining MPs don't live in the real world. Its not ture, for instance consider this story:

It looks like Brandon Lewis, minister at the Dept of Communities has been doing some blue sky thinking and is proposing a system where kids can eat good food during the day instead of burgers and rubbish.

Taking their School meals in pubs!! It makes you wonder why nobody has thought of this before

I am not sure if many parents will approve, but I cant see any Muslim parents being to happy about their child being marched to Weatherspoons for a midday snack (of pork scratchings perhaps?)

I think its a fabulous idea and should be extended to other areas of the School day. How about technology students repairing aircraft at Heathrow, cooking lessons at McDonalds and maths lessons done down at the high street Paddy Power???

No problems with the idea so long as it is closely controlled.

The Tories love transferring public money to their friends in big business and the article specifically mentions 'struggling pubs'.

The likes of Wetherspoons can not be described at struggling nor the other names you have mentioned above.

Unless proper control is exercised within a couple of Months kids will be served the same low value pap they currently get and there will be another mouth suckling on the taxpayer teat.

And a couple of games of darts for maths lesson.
