Bank Holiday Monday didn't pan out too well for some did it ?

Here in north west London Raf Northolt recorded rain in 11 out of 12 consecutive hours and a maximum temperature of 12.4c on Monday May 26th. Today ( Tuesday ) the rain which has led to flooding in parts of East Anglia has now spread southwards and is affecting the London area. The maximum temperature at Northolt today was a dismal 12.9c.

It's not just the temperatures and the rain I find depressing, it's the extraordinarily low levels of natural daytime light. For the last 3 days I have had to turn on my living room lights early in the afternoon just to be able to see my keyboard.

The countdown to the official start of the Meteorological Summer has begun and it's just 5 days away, not that you would know it looking at the current weather and forecasts.

Fed up moi ?? Absolutely.

Hopefully I can deliver some better news soon. In the meantime thanks as always for reading and posting. Moley. :(

Yes it has been dismal. My central heating kicked in yesterday :(

Hopefully they are right in that it will get better for the weekend.

Well if you are talking short-term Moley, Friday into Monday doesn't look too bad, but after that things look like they will descend back into dull, dismal and unsettled....

Unfortunately Kremmen the closer we get to the reliable time frame, the prospects for this weekend are no longer looking as good as they were a few days ago but a slight improvement on the last few days at least.

Saturday looks reasonable, Sunday maybe ok'ish but as Coast said it all looks downhill from early next week. We could well be in for a repeat of this weeks dull and dreary weather looking at the current synoptics.

Moley :(

Just noticed that overnight the dismal Sunday/Monday BBC forecast has improved somewhat.

Hope so because I'm off down to Rye Monday

So heading to one of my favourite parts of the country then Kremm ? I hope the weather plays ball but it's really not looking too promising next week to be honest. I will be more than happy to be proved wrong though as I'm hoping to get down to Hastings next week.

Just heard from LBH that my Blue Badge application has been approved and I should receive it in the next few days so the world ( well a very small corner of it ) is my lobster.

Have a good weekend all.

Moley 8-)

Unfortunately I'm going to Rye cemetery for the internment.

As you say though a nice part of the country

Weather alert !! ( Courtesy of the Daily Express ).

http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/47 ... summer-85F

We had better batten down the hatches folks because according to the ' experts ' the Daily Excess is happy to throw their money at, we are about to experience not just monsoons, but also typhoons** in dear old Blighty this week.

A plague of locusts and nuclear armageddon will no doubt follow to complete the total destruction of our green and pleasant land should we survive the initial onslaught. If all else fails, house prices will soar and Princess Diana will return in the guise of the new Minister for Drought.

I really wish I could earn a living peddling such garbage.

Moley.
