No good at parking...

These will be the selfish morons that make all the tyre screeching noises and loud engine revving in the dead of night, Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evenings.

We sometimes get plagued at the old Comet car park in Yeading over some weekends during the summer.

I have made enquiries and when it happens don't phone Plod because they are not really interested as they use the 'private land' ploy to evade turning up. Instead phone the council out of hours noise officer via 01895 250111 (main number).
If a noise officer is available they will turn up and the Police apparently must take notice if he/she reports it.

Must cost them a fortune in tyres ?

I'm very surprised by what you've said of the police response. I've been told by the police before that it doesn't matter who owns the land, if the public have access to it, it's a public place. People can do what they like only if they're doing it on land that is:

a) Private
b) Fenced off
c) With the land owner's permission.

We've had this issue in Yeading since Comet closed which must be 2 or 3 years now. because of the dreadful noise myself and most of my neighbours rang the Police when it first occurred and we all got the same reply.

It was passed from the main Police to the local Community Support officers and it was them who told all of us that Comet was private land, Comet was no longer contactable and they had no powers to do anything. Obviously we were all annoyed.

What has happened though, don't know when, is that concrete/metal pillars have been put in place for the Comet car park but they now wait for B&Q to close on a Sunday (16:00) then they race round there for 4 or 5 hours.

I was given the council route a few weeks ago but sod's law has kicked in and for the last 2 weekends it's been quiet.

Whilst realising you don't live there anymore perhaps you can tell one of the neighbours next time there is a problem to call the police and mention you thought you saw one of them take a firearm from the boot of one of the cars.
The key word is thought...

Plod will be down their quicker than they can put the phone down.
