I'm not in the business of calling people names either. My position appears to be similar to that of Jon.

I once had a natural trust in authority and government. Much of my working life was spent in supporting the defence of this nation. I was, and am still bound by the Official Secrets Act.

Sadly, my natural inclination to trust the powers-that-be were shaken to their foundations when 9/11 occurred; and later when the 7/7 London bombings took place. Both of these events remain plagued with unanswered questions and ridiculous official explanations.

The whole of the official and Government-backed climate change/global warming agenda is so full of holes that all officialdom is tainted with dishonesty, deception, and downright corruption through their active support for it; a problem that also undermines the integrity of most of the mainstream media, the press; especially the BBC, which presents itself as a champion of the whole nonsensical man-made climate change agenda. The situation is now so bad that I no longer believe anything that the mainstream media media tells us; and I will no longer fund the increasingly unpopular and unreliable BBC via the TV Licence fee because of the BBC's overt support for dishonesty.

As I say, I'm not in the business of calling people names for holding opinions that differ to mine, but I do believe it is important that those of us who can see through the dishonesty and corruption of officialdom and politics do what we can to awaken others. It is very clear to me that British politics is steering us into a one-world undemocratic and dictatorial government of absolute control, possibly under the initial guise of the UN. Jon suggests that the next 20, 30, 40 years will get a lot worse; I strongly suspect we don't have 5 to 10 years before we find ourselves living in a total dictatorship; the change from democracy to a Fascist style global dictatorship has now reached unstoppable rates of change. The closer we get to the end game the clearer the picture will become, and the bolder the political and Establishment class will become – and they are getting very bold indeed these days. Fake mobile phone towers that spy on us is a case in point.

Already since the election, Cameron's promise of a referendum on EU membership is looking increasingly dodgy at best, and unlikely at worst; either way, I think there is very little chance of the UK ever leaving the EU – even if the electorate did overwhelmingly vote to leave the EU.

We'd probably be asked to vote again in order to get the 'right result' as seems to be the EU way when the 'incorrect' result is produced.
