"Welfare" is the last thing on their mind.
I am in a state of shock at this time of writing. The shock at being compelled to see just how desperately dark the current political darkness is.
For a long time I have been conversing with my Conservative MP in writing about the myth of man-made climate change. I have sent him the writings of eminent climate scientists who roundly denounce man-made climate change, I have invited him to free lectures from sound climatologists (all of which he has refused to attend). I’ve tried to discuss the contents of the Climategate emails leaked from East Anglia University (EAU); a topic my MP steadfastly refuses to even acknowledge, let alone discuss.
I recently sent him, as a reminder, copies of lecture notes delivered by Professor Richard S Lindzen to a Committee Room in the House of Commons. Lindzen’s lecture also mentions the revelation of the scandal within the EAU emails.
Yesterday in the mail, I received three large envelopes from my MP, the envelopes were packed with copies of all his letters to me over the last several years. One envelope contained a short covering letter basically stating that “we must agree to disagree”, but he continues to support the electrification of the UK as the only way to defeat man-made climate change.
The scary part of all our communications is, at no time has my MP ever dealt with matters of fact I’ve placed before him – he simply ignores them and resorts to the mantra of “the consensus is settled” whilst, in my opinion, condescendingly talking me down. He ignores: the EAU climategate emails, the current fragile state of the National electricity Grid, the ever-rising cost of high-cost electricity to ordinary folk, the essential part that carbon dioxide plays in the life of all living things on earth, the dire risk to the health of the British people by super-insulating domestic homes and relying on expensive unreliable electricity from wind and solar to provide domestic heating and essential transport; on top it all, he refuses to even acknowledge that China, India, South Africa, Germany, etc. etc are all building hundreds of coal fired power stations.
In short, the man comes across as a political automaton who is 100% blinded to reason and reality where the man-made climate change myth is concerned. “The consensus is settled”. I have tried telling him that consensus is not science – he ignored that.
Frankly, with such people in power for at least another five years (with no viable alternative on offer), under the leadership of a fanatical dyed-in-the-wool green PM – we (our children and grandchildren) are in deep trouble from our own government. The clear indications are that all common sense, sound reasoning, and reference to honest science has been discarded from the world of politics in favour of a man-made religion – a deadly golden calf.
“Reprobate minds”, “vain imaginations”, “fools”, “suppress the truth in unrighteousness”. The way of the Beast is being prepared, at pace, before our eyes.
