The notion of Global Warming or cooling is dying anyway...... Certainly the political will to do anything about it anyway is.

The powers to be have decided whatever the situation is we cannot afford to do anything different.

The USA probably still the largest economy on the planet never believed any of it anyway which is why they never signed up to anything....

Sorry Jon, Lovelock's change of outlook won't make the slightest difference to the GREEN agenda. The political class are thoroughly committed to the myth.

Over the last five or six years I have had conversations in writing about the whole anti-CO2 agenda with politicians representing the LibLabCon Party; these people are totally blind to the truth, and immune to all reason. Evidence doesn't mean a thing to them; they continually fall back on; “there is a consensus that CO2 is killing the planet”. For them, there is no argument, their case is proven. And they say, even if there is a remote chance they may be wrong; they claim, it is better to be safe than sorry.

The truth is, control of carbon means more power in the hands of politicians. Plus, the Green agenda makes them and their cronies a lot of money.

Can we imagine such people as Clegg, Cameron, Huhne, and Miliband publicly announcing that they have all been wrong all along about man-made global warming/climate change? NO Way! Can we imagine they will change the tax regime away from the anti-CO2 policy? No way! Can we imagine the UN's Agenda 21 being torn up and discarded by all local authorities? Again, NO Way! Can we imagine the whole of the 'education system' being reprogrammed away from the anti-CO2 agenda? No Way!

If the man-made global warming/climate change myth is seen to have been wrong; then most politicians, much of the media, the chattering classes, local councils, university professors, State education system, Met Office, UN, etc. etc. and the BBC; will all find themselves without a leg to stand on. They will all become a laughing stock overnight, and the public anger will burst open like a broken dam. It isn't going to happen, at least, not without a lot of resistance.

The man mad global warming band wagon
is just like religion was in the west years ago , then religion had power , and fear
and now that has receded
the green religion has taken its place , giving power , and money to the new priests , our politicians
People who know one took and notice of , or thought as cranks , in their own world , now have a say
and they wont give it up without a fight.
It is even taught in schools as a fact .using statistics that can be bent to show anything , for our own good of course
It appears low energy light bulbs have not reduced consumption at all
as people now leave lights on 24 7 , as they think why turn them off
The funny thing is lighting is the least energy consuming of all our energy.
AS for me , as soon as a politician , says green is part of their manifesto , i switch off , no pun intended
as we all have far more important things to worry about , and can only think of such things as a luxury
when we can afford it , not now , and not for many years .
But that's just my own opinions
