Given this lousy summer and the fact that so many people from warmer countries seem to want to come and live here, I propose an immediate total land swap with Spain, Portugal or Italy. They can have our City (they'll get used to the corruption) if we can have their sun.

I have a friend that lives in Spain and he usually spends summers over here because it's too hot for him over there. This year he has to stay there because he's put his UK home up for rental and has nowhere to stay in the UK and wonders why I don't feel sorry for him.

It's cold and wet here and I wish I could be in Spain right now :lol:
