An emotive subject yes.... But the children in these families are being treated abominably! I never knew inter family incest and child rape could have featured across so many families in 21st Century Britain.

Ok Sterilisation might be over the top (and will be contrary to human rights anyway) but why are these people who commit child rape and or incest not being consigned to jail? Are both these things not an offence?

Forced Castration? Could of course be an effective deterrent but would make us no better than some middle eastern states.

Something has to be done it seems we lurch from one lampost to another..

Here is the article on this shocking report!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2175094/Troubled-Families-report-lifts-lid-120-000-problem-households.html

Quote:
A shocking culture of criminality at the heart of Britain’s most feckless families who think nothing of having children they cannot afford is laid bare today.

A hard-hitting report on 120,000 problem households reveals that those responsible for antisocial behaviour feature a high incidence of incest and sexual abuse, physical violence and a spiral of alcohol abuse and crime.

This report may well have found a large 'at risk' group of kids, but this is not the whole story.

Mrs SOT has worked in mental health for over 30 years and has told me that a huge amount of her work with adults relates from child abuse (including sexual abuse). Moreover, many of these victims are from 'decent' background and from seemingly stable backgrounds, including parents who are professional pillars of the community.

It's easy to point the finger at an obvious stereotypical group in society, whilst (for many of us) sadly, it's all going on next door!!
