If I sold apples, I'd be very pleased if a customer came and bought them every day.

If he offered to let me take the money off him for the apples automatically, I wouldn't dream of CHARGING him for the privilege.

How is it then, that if you want to register to have the Congestion Charge taken automatically, they charge you a £10 fee!!! And you have to pay it again once a year!
Admittedly, you get a pound off the charge but I still don't get why you should have to pay ten pounds in this day an age to make it easy for them to get their money. There's no human involvement, it's all done by computers anyway. Grrrrr.

Paying to be ripped off, reminds me of the Chinese communists, charging the bereaved for the cost of the bullet used in executions.
