Ladies and Gentleman, Im delighted to announce the first officially recorded 21c ( 70F ) of the year. In the last hour both Gravesend and St James Park have hit the magical figure.

Shame about the South Coast though where temperatures have struggled to reach 11-12c ( 52-54f ).

Moley 8-) 8-)

For most of us the answer is probably yes Kremm, but you have to admit you are a bit of a jinx ;)

For much of London and The South East this weekend looks quite reasonable and should stay mostly dry with temperatures close to average. 12-14c ( 52-57f ) inland, cooler on the coast. Rain is possible later on Sunday, but conditions should be close to ideal for the London Marathon runners.

The beginning of next week looks like being under the influence of High Pressure, so quite settled with varying amounts of cloud, mostly dry and temperatures rising by a degree or two to reach 14-16c ( 57-61f ) by midweek. There is a cautionary note though, with clear skies overnight temperatures will drop quite sharply so frost is likely in rural areas.

Looking further ahead to next weekend Im afraid the signs are not good. It could be a return to the chiller as northerly winds take hold. The last days of April and the beginning of May could be yet another shock to the system for those of us looking for warmer weather.

Moley :(

It's 08:25 and the car is out of the garage and on the drive, hose and Karcher is out, bucket is ready for filling.

09:00 and the Karcher will be waking the neighbours

Rain due anytime now >>>>>>>>>>>>

^^ Glad to hear your car's ok Kremm but Ive got my doubts about the next few days after my optimism in an earlier post.

After what was a glorious weekend for most of us in London and The South East, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse today (Monday) with a frontal system introducing a lot of cloud, and a strong breeze lowering temperatures again.

I have always enjoyed watching the London Marathon on tv, but yesterday the weather added to the spectacle by providing near perfect conditions for participants and spectators alike. It cheered me up no end !!

Anyway, once this frontal system passes through today, we should see a gradual improvement for the rest of this week, with temperatures slowly rising and an increased chance of sunny spells before it all changes again just in time for next weekend.

Moley :?

It looks like it's going to be a nice day today so that means a day in the garden getting the shed ready for dismantling. (yawn!)

I would like to know when we can turn our central heating off in the evening though Moley - our gas bill must be going sky high!
