When you could OPEN things???
I bought a packet of peanuts and all I wanted to do was open them and eat them. But nowaday, it's just IMPOSSIBLE to open these stupid vacuum sealed packets they put everything in. You cannot pull them open, and increasingly you can't tear them open either, because whatever this stuff is the packets are made from is too strong.
I had to go and find a pair of scissors in the end.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Oh and another thing: why is it that the important information on every packet and box (like the cooking istructions for example) is printed in tiny, weeny, microscopic type, no matter how big the box or packet is???? (Never used to bother me, but has for the last year or so

)

I thought it was just me, so I take solace from the fact I am not alone. The difficulty opening packets is bad enough, but the miniscule cooking instructions on foodstuffs is a real problem. I realise and accept that eyesight deteriorates with age, and I try and compensate with that by buying glasses but I have recently bought food products that have cooking instructions so small that I would struggle to read them using a Hubble telescope.
So many companies these days seem to literally rely on the 'small print' get out clause. I would call that discrimination against those of us with diminishing eyesight. Seriously, this is an issue which should be addressed.
